Event Pools define the universe of matchups a league can draw from. When you create a league, you choose one or more pools—MLB, NFL, NBA, or any custom events the platform provides. These pools determine what appears on the league’s board and what players can use to build their plays.
An event pool is simply the set of games or matchups that the league draws from according to its schedule. Some leagues use a single pool (like MLB only), while others combine multiple pools (MLB + NFL), or even mix in custom events such as Grandma’s Coffee Meeting or any other non‑sports event the system supports.
Each pool represents a stream of events. Sports pools are fed by real‑world schedules, while custom pools can represent anything—competitions, predictions, social events, or user‑defined outcomes. When a league is active, its board is generated from the combined events of all selected pools, filtered through the league’s rules and timing.
Because pools are independent, they can be added, removed, or expanded without affecting existing leagues. Future updates will allow deprecated pools (such as retired sports seasons) to be filtered out automatically without breaking historical data.
Single‑sport league
A league that uses only the NFL pool will show NFL matchups on its board according to the NFL schedule.
Multi‑sport league
A league using MLB + NFL will show matchups from both pools whenever those events are active.
Custom‑event league
A league might include a custom pool such as “Grandma’s Coffee Meeting,” allowing players to make predictions on non‑sports events alongside traditional sports matchups.
Fully custom league
A league can be built entirely from user‑defined pools, enabling prediction games for any domain—sports, entertainment, social events, or original creations.
Event Pools give leagues flexibility and identity. They define the content of the board, the rhythm of play, and the types of predictions players can make. By mixing and matching pools, creators can build leagues that are seasonal, year‑round, niche, chaotic, or completely unique.
